What is the MSN CYPC?
Managed Service Network - what is it?
The care of children, teenagers and young adults with cancer in Scotland changed in 2012 and all cancer centres now work together as one single, cohesive service called a Managed Service Network (MSN).
This has been done to ensure that the best treatment is available to all patients irrespective of the type of cancer they have and regardless of where they live. Instead of being referred for treatment to your nearest hospital, this new service will plan and deliver your care by involving all of Scotland's cancer centres and hospitals. Scotland's doctors, nurses and therapists work together in a coordinated way to bring the best treatment to every patient at each stage of treatment.
