Roles and Responsibilities
  • To promote the consideration of psychological and neuropsychological issues within the physical care setting of children and young people’s cancer services. 
  • Benchmark current service delivery in Scotland: to consider issues around equity of access, in order to identify gaps in service and needs across Scotland. 
  • To undertake an audit of national and internationally defined psychological standards of care, in order to develop and monitor care pathways for psychological care within children and young people’s cancer services in Scotland and work towards the development of a ‘gold standard’ service specification. 
  • Benchmark current level of clinical psychology and neuropsychology services in Scotland, compared to UK counterparts and national guidelines. 
  • To support the delivery of psychological care by all staff in CYP cancer services. 
  • Ensure representation of psychological views within the MSN structure.
